Chris Vermeulen has vowed to be in peak condition when arriving at Brno for the resumption of racing after the summer break. The Australian has had a three-week break to recover from injuries and the Rizla Suzuki rider is now hoping to concentrate on performances on the track rather than off it.
Lying joint ninth in the championship with team-mate Loris Capirossi, there is nothing between the Suzuki duo as far as statistics are concerned. With the holiday period coming at the right time for Chris, he values the importance of the break.

"We've had a bit of time for some rest and relaxation since the last race and that has given all my injuries a chance to heal and I'll be one-hundred percent fit when we get to the Czech Republic," he said. "The break has given us an opportunity to look at the data from the last couple of events and see where we can make some changes for Brno."
With constant consultation with the team, Suzuki has seven races remaining from which to pull out strong results with modifications to its bikes. "I have been speaking with Tom (O'Kane, crew chief) about the bike and we have a few ideas and we are both quite positive that we can improve it straight away, which will be good," Vermeulen explained. "I've done pretty well at Brno in the past couple of years and I'm sure that this is a track where we can make the best of the GSV-R."
