'Unfinished business' for Capirossi

12 August 2009

Loris Capirossi is very much looking forward to returning to the race track in the Czech Republic this weekend. The Italian rode to an eventual eleventh place for the Rizla Suzuki team at Donington Park last time out but wants more from Brno.

Lying joint ninth in the championship with team-mate Chris Vermeulen, Capirossi is the fourth highest ranked Italian of the country's five representatives on the grid. "I just can't wait to get back on the bike again," he said ahead of Round 11. "We have a lot of unfinished business and need to show that the results we've been getting are not a true reflection of how hard the team has been working recently."

If past results are anything to go by, the sky blue 36-year-old could in for a good weekend. "I got a third at Brno last year, which was the last time I was on the podium and that is just too long, so I need to do something about it," he said confidently. "We really want consistently good weather all weekend so we can get the setup right for the GSV-R and if that happens I think we have a chance of a really good result."
