Championship governing body FIM has released the provisional race calendar ahead of the 2010 championship. The notable additions to the schedule are the Hungarian Grand Prix at the new Balatonring in mid September and Silverstone, which takes over from Donington Park as new home of the British Grand Prix.
Having increased in length by one race to a total of eighteen, the provisional MotoGP calendar for 2010 is as follows:

FIM also added:
'In the event that one of the circuits is not able to comply with the requirements to hold the scheduled Grand Prix, the Motorland Aragon Circuit would host a reserve "event" on the same day.'
