The Catalan crowd couldn't have been in any more amazement when seeing the incredbile duel between Yamaha team-mates Valentino Rossi and home favourite Jorge Lorenzo in Barcelona nine days ago. With Rossi coming out on top and amends to be made at Assen, the Italian is now looking forward to the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend.
After a fantastic race at the Circuit de Catalunya, things couldn't be closer in the championship with Lorenzo, Ducati's Casey Stoner and Rossi all bound on 106 points at the top of the table. After experiencing a disappointing afternoon in the Netherlands last season, Valentino is keen to update his Assen statistics with a number '1'.

"Assen is a very special track for all riders and it is a wonderful place to ride a MotoGP bike, even if it was better before they changed the layout," said the Italian. "Last year I had my worst point of the season there so I want to make up for that with a good performance because the fans are very passionate and they deserve a good show."
With nothing but a cigarette paper's width between the two Yamahas in Spain, the balance could swing any one of at least three ways in Holland. "After Barcelona we know how strong we are but our rivals are also strong so we can't afford to relax, we have to keep pushing," continued the six-times Champion. "Montmeló was fantastic, one of my best wins ever, but the championship is very close between the three of us and so we have to try to win again to take the lead. There is still a long way to go but we have to remain consistent."
