Lorenzo tops Saturday practice

Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo will be confident ahead of qualifying as the Spaniard clocked the fastest time on Saturday morning at Circuit de Catalunya. Repsol Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso ended second ahead of world champion Valentino Rossi.

The Spanish Grand Prix weekend in Barcelona continue on Saturday with air temperatures already up to 30°C in the morning. The drivers were well over a second faster than they were in Friday's free practice session.

Dani Pedrosa didn't have the best start of his weekend on Friday but on Saturday morning the Spaniard moved up to fourth place behind his main rival for the championship title, Valentino Rossi.
