The Tech3 Yamaha team has signed a new sponsorship deal with Monster. The energy drink brand will become title sponsor of the team powered Colin Edwards and James Toseland from the beginning of this season.
The Monster Energy M-Claw logo, previosuly seen on the helmet of Valentino Rossi, will be first seen on the bikes at Qatar's opening race of the season on 12 April. "It's great to be linked with a growing brand such as Monster Energy, which has such a strong image and a big profile," commented team boss Herve Poncharal. "Monster are very keen to support MotoGP and I'm sure that our partnership will prove to be very sucessful."
Monster Energy President Mark Hall explained his motives for linking up with the Yamaha privateer satellite outfit: "Both Colin and James have built huge followings throughout their careers and they are extremely popular riders, so we are pleased to become part of their continued efforts through out partnership with the team for the upcoming season."
