Rossi storms to victory

Valentino Rossi stormed to a ninth win of the season today in a strong performance at Sepang ahead of pole-sitter Dani Pedrosa.

Rossi held onto Pedrosa's tail at the start and on lap ten took the lead. But it was not all straight forward for the champion as a light rain shower made conditions very tricky in the final stages. Nevertheless he held on to take his eighth straight podium finish. 

Pedrosa ended the day second ahead of Dovizioso who got his first MotoGP podium finish ahead of Nicky Hayden. 

Nakano ended up fifth ahead of Casey Stoner, Capirossi, Edwards, Vermeulen and de Puniet.
