West fastest in final practice
18 October 2008Kawasaki's Anthony West set the surprise pace in final practice at Sepang with a flying lap in the final moments of the session which is the fastest lap of the weekend ahead of fellow Australian Casey Stoner.

Stoner found more pace on his Ducati and was edged out by four-thousandths of a second. Jorge Lorenzo ended the session third, a tenth adrift on his Yamaha.
Valentino Rossi finished fourth fastest ahead of Pedrosa, Dovizioso, Nakano and Capirossi.
