Hayden to sit out San Marino GP

Injured Repsol Honda rider Nicky Hayden miss this afternoon's San Marino Grand Prix because of his foot injury, and to avoid doing any more damage.

2006 champion Hayden sat out the Czech GP and will now miss today's race because of the injury he sustained riding in an exhibition in Los Angeles during the summer break.

Hayden had been riding in practice and qualified sixteenth, two second off the pace. He expects to return to racing at the next round, his home GP in Indianapolis.
