Valentino Rossi stormed to victory in the Czech Grand Prix at Brno after title rival Casey Stoner crashed out of the lead and retired on lap six.
Stoner made a strong start and was leading Rossi comfortably in the early stages, but as the Yamaha rider found his groove and began to close in on the leader, Stoner lost his bike and crashed.
From there on Rossi cruised to a comfortable win as the duo have been in a class of their own for much of the weekend. Alice Ducati's Toni Elias took advantage of the situation to finish second ahead of Loris Capirossi - both riders claiming their first podiums for their current outfits.
Nakano and West finished fourth and fifth ahead of Vermeulen, Melandri, de Angelis, Dovizioso and Lorenzo rounding off the top ten.
