Stoner still on top in warm-up

Casey Stoner continued his perfect weekend by going fastest in the warm-up session for today's US Grand Prix. Pole-sitter Stoner's best time was a 1m22.085s, slower than he has been but still six tenths faster than Valentino Rossi in second.

Chris Vermeulen had some encouraging pace in warm-up finishing third fastest ahead of Marco Melandri. Sylvain Guintoli, Shinya Nakano and Loris Capirossi rounded off an all-Bridgestone top seven.

Randy de Puniet ended up eighth ahead of Nicky Hayden and Jorge Lorenzo rounding off the top ten. 

Alex de Angelis covered 14 laps this morning with his fractured left thumb and he remains a doubt for this afternoon's race.
