Stoner storms to pole position

Casey Stoner stormed to a fourth straight pole position with a dominant show this afternoon at the Sachsenring in Germany. The Ducati rider finished almost 0.4s ahead of the next bike, morning pace-setter Dani Pedrosa.

Tech 3 Yamaha's Colin Edwards made a return to the front row in third place with a strong lap, a tenth behind Pedrosa. Dovizioso and Lorenzo both also put in strong laps to fill out the second row of the grid with their bikes along side de Puniet in sixth.

Valentino Rossi continued to struggle and could do no better than seventh place ahead of Hayden and Nakano.
