Stoner fastest in wet warm up

Stoner fastest in wet warm up

28 June 2008 / Results

Casey Stoner set the fastest lap in Saturday morning's warm up in poor conditions. While the weather was great on Friday and Saturday it is windy and wet on Saturday. Stoner was closely followed by Nicky Hayden. Rossi ended third.

The Dutch Grand Prix weekend continued on Saturday with a 20-minute warm up session. Just 16 drivers were out on track. Loris Capirossi had to gave up his weekend on Friday afternoon as he cut his right arm while sliding off his bike. John Hopkins had an incredible high speed crash on Friday afternoon in qualifying and broke his ankle.

It promises to be an interesting race if the weather will stay as wet as it is. Chris Vermeulen already showed at Donington he is a true wet weather man. The Suzuki rider ended fourth in this morning's wet warm up session.
