Dovizioso fastest at wet Donington Park
21 June 2008 / ResultsJiR Scot Racing Team rider Andrea Dovizioso was Saturday morning's fastest man on track at Donington Park. The Italian completed the fastest lap at the wet track and ended the session just ahead of Dani Pedrosa.
The third and final free practice session started at a wet track due to overnight rain. Rain specialists such as Anthony West, Chris Vermeulen and Sylvain Guintoli immidiatly showed they felt at home at the slippery track of Donington Park. After 15 minutes into the session it was reining world champion Casey Stoner though who topped the time sheets.
Half way into the session the British fans at Donington saw Chris Vermeulen improve the morning's fastest lap. Not much later though Casey Stoner was well on the pace again and improved the fastest lap again. Stoner topped the time sheets until Dovizioso completed his flying lap with minutes left in the session.
