Stoner continues strong pace in second practice

Reigning world champion Casey Stoner was also the fastest man in Friday's second free practice session. The Ducati rider completed his fastest lap in 1.28.253 and was well ahead of Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi at Donington.

Tech 3 Yamaha rider Colin Edwards was well under way in the afternoon. The American was less than a tenth of a second behind his former team mate Valentino Rossi. Spaniard Dani Pedrosa completed the sixth fastest time and had a moment as he fell of his bike half way into the session. The Repsol Honda rider was doing just fine though after his crash and will continue his British Grand Prix weekend as usual on Saturday.

The weekend will continue with the third and final free practice session on Saturday at 10.00am local time.
