Capirossi unlikely to race at Donington

Capirossi unlikely to race at Donington

11 June 2008

Suzuki rider Loris Capirossi is most likely going to miss round eight in the 2008 MotoGP championship at Donington Park 20-22 June. Caprissi broke his finger at the Catalunya Grand Prix on Sunday.

Capirossi crashed in Sunday's race after a collision with Alex de Angelis. The Italian will visit a specialist in Monaco on Wednesday.

Rizla Suzuki team manager Paul Denning explained: "His break is quite a complicated one; it´s a dislocated fracture of his fifth right metacarpus, which is used a lot in braking. We will wait for the verdict when he sees the specialist, but at the moment it is looking unlikely that he will ride at Donington and perhaps Assen,"

Suzuki's test rider Nobuatsu Aoki was testing with the team for two days at Circuit de Catalunya this week and will most likely replace Capirossi.
