
Alex de Angelis was the surprise pace setter in this morning's warm-up session, going faster than Dani Pedrosa and pole sitter Valentino Rossi.
De Angelis set the pace of 1m49.633s, just under two-tenths ahead of Pedrosa and Rossi. Casey Stoner had a positive morning in fourth place ahead of Rizla Suzuki's Loris Capirossi, Shinya Nakano, Nicky Hayden and Colin Edwards.
