Pedrosa set Saturday morning pace

Dani Pedrosa set the pace on Saturday morning practice at Mugello with a best lap of 1m49.975s. The Repsol Honda driver took advantage of drier conditions in Italy to finish 0.4s ahead of Casey Stoner.

However conditions did not remain dry and after just fifteen minutes, the rain came again. Loris Capirossi finished third ahead of Alex de Angelis and Colin Edwards. 

Valentino Rossi improved to sixth ahead of Nakano, Guintoli, Hopkins and Hayden while Jorge Lorenzo ended up fourteenth. Hopkins and Hayden both went off track at one point, but did no damage.
