Pedrosa takes French pole

Pedrosa takes French pole

17 May 2008

Dani Pedrosa took pole position in a close-fought qualifying session at Le Mans. The Repsol Honda rider clocked a pole time of 1m32.647s to finish 0.1s ahead of the morning pace setter, Colin Edwards.

Casey Stoner had a strong session to take third and move ahead of the two Fiat Yamaha riders - Rossi in fourth and Lorenzo in fifth. Lorenzo seemed to show no side effects from his crash in morning practice, and fortunately for him, avoided making his existing injuries any worse.
