Alice Team has stepped on the Spanish circuit in Jerez de la Frontera for the first day of Official Test. Toni Elias has registered competitive lap times while his team mate, Sylvain Guintoli, has found some difficulties during the day. Temperature was over twenty degrees and allowed all the MotoGP riders to work without complications. Tomorrow, from 2.05pm, the MotoGP Official Test will start with a BMW Z3 M as award.
Alice Team technical director Fabiano Sterlacchini commented, "In this first day of work we have concentrated on the setting of the bike receiving interesting information. In addition we have spent a lot of time trying different tyres solutions finding positive feedback for the front. We have registered good lap timing in the early afternoon. In the final part of the day the track got worse and we couldn't improve our performances."
Toni Elias commented, "I am satisfied with the work done today. It has been a positive day even if we have to improve our position in the standing. The majority of the riders have already ridden in Jerez with their new bikes in November, while for us it was the first time. We are on the right way and tomorrow morning we will try to find the right set up to have some fun during the 40 minutes of afternoon official testing. Also Bridgestone tyres have answered well today."
Sylvain Guintoli added, "Today it hasn't been a great day. I have tried different settings, but nothing made us improve our lap times. Now I want to relax a bit to be able to be in the best physical conditions possible for the first official laps of the season."
