Edwards supports increased influence of electronics

02 January 2008

Former FIAT Yamaha rider Colin Edwards welcomes the growing influence of electronic rider aids in MotoGP. He believes the extra electronic on his bike will not damage the sport in any case. His former team-mate Valentino Rossi though believes the electronics are damaging the sport.

The new Tech 3 Yamaha rider told MCN: "For me the electronics now make it more of a team effort. You got the rider riding the shit out of it anyway, but you got the data guy and the traction control and the torque guy all trying to make the best situation because without those guys I'd be as slow as hell and it is a full team effort."
