Pramac d'Antin releases unmotivated Hofmann from contract
17 September 2007German rider Alex Hofmann did not finish Sunday's Portuguese Grand Prix. The Pramac D'Antin rider entered the pitbox with 17 laps remaining and told the team: "I don't have the motivation to fight for the last positions." His actions weren't well received by the team and thus the team decided to end his contract immediately.
The Pramac d'Antin team will search for a substitute rider to replaced Hofmann. Ivan Silva, who replaced an injured Hofmann at Brno, could be an interesting option for the team.
