Stoner tops first practice in Portugal

Casey Stoner continues his incredible pace at Estoril this morning. The Ducati rider completed the fastest lap in the first free practice session. He was three tenths of a second faster than Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi. Randy de Puniet finished third.

In Portugal Colin Edwards and Carlos Checa completed the top five. Shinya Nakano did surprisingly well as he finished ninth.
