Michelin would welcome extra teams next year

05 September 2007

MotoGP tyre manufacturer Michelin would welcome other MotoGP teams to join forces with them for the 2008 MotoGP season their Director of Motorcycle Racing Jean-Philippe Weber has said. Even though Weber admitted he doesn't expect many teams to switch tyre providers this winter.

Speaking to MotoGP.com Weber said: "If more teams would like to join us, then we are always open to the idea. However, I don't think hat we will see many changes in comparison with this year. Perhaps we will see a few teams changing tyres, but not a lot."

Michelin currently is supplying Fiat Yamaha, Honda LCR, Konica Minolta Honda, Repsol Honda and Team Roberts with its tyres.
