Melandri won't need neck surgery

Honda Gresini rider Marco Melandri is releaved he does not need a surgery on his neck. In Imola Melandri underwent a number of medical checks and the 25-year-old was told a surgery was not necessary.

Melandri was relieved. He said: "I am really happy with this news. I will have several days of complete rest to make this hernia regress some more and try to get fit for the race at Misano."
