Stoner fastest on first day at Brno

20 August 2007 / Results

Racewinner Casey Stoner was the fastest rider on the first day of testing at Brno after the Czech Grand Prix. The 21-year-old Australian completed his fastest lap in 1.56.901. Stoner was well ahead of Rizla Suzuki riders John Hopkins and Chris Vermeulen.

Valentino Rossi was out on track trying an all-new Yamaha M1-engine. But his tenth time could indicate the Italian has still a lot of work to do with his Yamaha team.

The riders will continue testing at Brno on Tuesday.
