Stoner fastest in warm-up

19 August 2007 / Results

Casey Stoner went fastest in today's Brno warm-up but only by 0.013s over John Hopkins. The Australian, who will be starting from pole position in today's Czech Grand Prix, set a fastest time of 1:58.960s. Colin Edwards was third fastest for Yamaha but with only one second covering the top ten the signs are good for a close race later on.

Randy de Puniet was fourth fastest for Kawasaki in the warm and dry conditions ahead of Chris Vermeulen and Nicky Hayden, who starts alongside Stoner on the front row of the grid. Valentino Rossi was seventh on the second Yamaha with Alex Barros, Dani Pedrosa and Loris Capirossi completing the top ten.
