Casey Stoner will be the fastest rider going into this afternoon's qualifying for the Czech Grand Prix after topping the final practice session this morning. The Ducati rider led all of the hour-long session and was once again joined by John Hopkins and Randy de Puniet respectively at the top of the timesheets.
The Aussi set the fastest time of the weekend - 1:58.002s - in the final moments to go over six tenths clear of Hopkins and almost a second faster than de Puniet. Prior to that Hopkins looked to be a threat to Stoner's pace, just trailing him by 0.013s. Colin Edwards was fourth fastest ahead of Loris Capirossi on the second Ducati. Sixth and seventh fastest were Chris Vermeulen and yesterday's surprise fastest Sylvain Guintoli. The two Repsol Hondas of Dani Pedrosa and Nicky Hayden were yet again inseparable in eighth and ninth, with Yamaha Tech 3 rider Makoto Tamada completing the top ten.
Valentino Rossi was a lowly twelfth fastest with Marco Melandri sitting out practice again with a neck problem.
