
John Hopkins had a great weekend two weeks ago in China. The Rizla Suzuki rider scored his first podium position of the season and is now confident he can continue his strong performance in France.

Hopkins will now try to keep the momentum going after having scored third place in Shanghai. "It's like learning to walk," he said about his first podium finish. "When you get the first one under your belt you just want more. So yes, my confidence is high for this weekend.
"The team morale is very high. Chris (Vermeulen) has been riding very well and hopefully he'll have a good weekend as well. Team has been working really well and I think we made some good tyre choices. I'm feeling really good about the upcoming weekend."
