Stoner on top in final practice

Australian Casey Stoner was the man to beat after final practice for this weekend's Moto GP event in Istanbul. The Ducati rider finished 0.3s ahea of Valentino Rossi, while Elias was third a further 0.1s down.

Pedrosa finished fourth ahead of Edwards, Vermeulen, Hopkins and Capirossi. Most of the riders covered between 22 and 24 laps during the hour-long session.

Action resumes this afternoon for qualifying.
