Second practice: Yamaha riders on top

In Thursday's second and final practice session Yamaha riders Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards were the fastest riders on track. In today's first session Edwards was fastest by almost a second.

Thursday was the first day of the official Qatar Grand Prix, the opening race of the 2007 MotoGP season. The first two practice sessions saw Yamaha riders dominite them, while Ducati rider Casey Stoney is close behind.

World champion Nicky Hayden has yet to find the pace. The rider from the United States was 16th and 15th in today's practice sessions.
