'Silverstone is going to be very good'

James Toseland admits that the move from Donington Park to Silverstone for next year's British Grand Prix will be a positive one for MotoGP and for himself, having competed on the Northamptonshire circuit in his World Superbike career.

With the field generally sad to see Donington off the calendar in 2010, Britain's sole competitor isn't so much. "Well I'm not because, if I am still here, then Silverstone is going to be very good for me," he said at Donington. "These guys don't know it and I do!

"I think that it is only me and Chris Vermeulen that have raced at Silverstone - change isn't always a good thing but sometimes it can be." The Tech3 rider did admit, however, that the final race at Donington has every right to leave a lump in the throat of a number of people:

"It's a shame it is leaving Donington, just because of the heritage of the place, but they want four wheels instead of two now so Silverstone is going to be the bike track for some time; I am sure that Silverstone can put on as a good show on as Donington has done."
